Delaware Chapter 13

Payments

Wage Orders: It is required that you have a wage deduction with your employer. Your plan payment will be automatically deducted and forwarded to our office. Depending upon your pay periods, the payment can be spread out. The automatic deduction saves time and effort since you do not have to obtain money orders and mail them to our office each month. Your payroll records keep an accurate record of your payments. We have found that many successful Chapter 13 plans are completed by wage deductions.

If you are self employed or receive retirement income, your payments will be due on the 15th of each month. Click here for our payment address.

Consumer Credit
You should not enter into any credit or loan agreements during your Chapter 13 Bankruptcy. If unforeseen circumstances require you to seek credit, you must obtain permission of the Trustee. Please call in advance to receive the necessary application forms.
Discharge and Credit Reports
Upon successful completion of your Chapter 13 plan, you will receive a Discharge, which is an Order of the Bankruptcy Court. Once that is obtained, it should be noted on your credit report. If you desire, we will gladly share your accomplishments with the local credit bureau and assist you in providing information to help re-establish your credit.
